We serve all of San Diego. When scheduling groups, we do our best to pair seniors who live near each other so pickup routes are efficient and everyone spends more time enjoying the outing — not sitting in traffic.

No — Silver Connects is a social outing program, not a medical service. We are not caregivers or healthcare providers. Our focus is purely on connection, fun, and getting seniors out of the house and into the community. That said, as we grow we look forward to exploring partnerships with healthcare providers and expanding our services to better support seniors and their families.

Our staff are not medical professionals but they are carefully selected, background checked, and trained in senior assistance and first aid. Every outing has a dedicated driver and a helper — so the ratio is always 2 staff members for a maximum of 6 seniors. That means your loved one is never without someone nearby to assist them. And if you'd like to join your parent on an outing as a guest, you are always welcome — many families find it gives them real peace of mind to see their loved one happy and engaged.

We ask for a minimum two-month commitment when you first join. This gives seniors enough time to feel comfortable, get to know the group, and truly experience the benefit of consistent social connection. After the first two months you can cancel anytime with no penalties.

We completely understand — some days just aren't good days. If you let us know at least 24 hours in advance, that outing won't count against your membership. We'll simply move to the next scheduled outing. Last minute cancellations will count as a used outing, but we'll always do our best to work with you.

The safety of every member is our top priority. Every outing has a trained helper on board and all staff are first aid certified. In the event of an emergency we follow a clear protocol and immediately contact the member's family.

Absolutely. Every Silver Connects staff member goes through a thorough background check before their first day. Your loved one's safety is our top priority and we take that responsibility seriously.

We welcome seniors who use walkers or canes — our vehicle and staff are fully prepared to assist. At this time we are not yet equipped to accommodate motorized wheelchairs. If you're unsure whether Silver Connects is the right fit for your loved one, just give us a call and we'll be happy to talk it through together.

We keep our groups small — between 5 and 6 seniors per outing. This is intentional. Smaller groups mean more personal attention, easier conversation, and a much more comfortable experience for your loved one. No one gets lost in a crowd or feels overwhelmed.

We rotate five purposeful activities throughout the month — Brain Games & Trivia for mental stimulation, Creative Arts for expression, Bingo Social for fun and connection, Outdoor Picnic for fresh air and wellness, and Cultural Outings for enrichment. Every outing is relaxed and comfortable — seniors participate at their own pace with no pressure.

Absolutely — and we love when families join us! You're welcome to come along as a guest for $30 per outing. It's a great way to see firsthand what Silver Connects is all about and share a fun experience with your loved one. Many family members find it gives them real peace of mind seeing their parent happy and connected.

Membership is billed monthly, upfront at the start of each month. We accept cash, Zelle, and credit card. Payment is simple and straightforward — no surprises.
